Is there any women who has gotten pregnant with thier tubes tied?

I got my tubes cut, tied, and burnt about 5yrs ago. Well I am now 4 days late. Could I be pregnant?
Answer:
Since your tubes were "burned" then the chances are slim to none. There was a chance when they just tied them, but since they now burn them as well as tie the chances are pretty much none. HOWEVER, there is always that fluke chance.if you are concerned then I would suggest testing, but I doubt if you are. It's most likely an hormonal imbalance.
It is possible
You should have been toldn when you had your operation, that there is failure rate of the tubal ligation , aproximately of 0.3%, which actually goes up to0.8% 5 years later.
If you are late YOU SHOULD take a pregnancyn home test and if positive YOU SHOULD get advise from a gynecologist ASAP as the possibillity of an ectopic pregnancy (abnormal pregnancy growing in the tube instead of the womb) is aprox 10-20% and this needs to be ruled out.
Take care
If you are it is probably ectopic. I would get to the doctor to find out what is going on.
It is possible only through artificial insemination. An egg and sperm from donor is fertilised outside the body an injected straight into your uterus. Otherwise it is not possible. Your ovaries releases the egg according to your menstrual cycle and the tubes are needed to transport the eggs from the ovaries to your uterus where it can be fertilised by sperm from the male ejaculate. Without the tubes the eggs cannot reach the uterus. Sperms carry half the genes required to make an individual and the eggs carry the other half. Sperm cells by itself cannot cause pregnancy. Give it a few more days and if you are still not menstruating you should see a physician because there could be underlying disease causing the lack of it. But worry not about pregnancy.
