Is the IUD Para gard better than birth control pills?

I am thinking about getting one I am just scared because I don't know how well it works. Help

I don't have para guard but I have the Mirena IUD and love it. It is sooo much better then the pills. You don't even know the thing is there.

yes, it's been 4 years since i've had it on and it works like a charm. no pain, no problems with my period. everything has worked out great.. i don't have to worry about forgeting to take a pill, it's not visible, it doesn't hurt when they put it in...i say Go for it!
