Is there such thing as "Tying your tubes", if so, is it permenant?

Where do I go and get it done if I don't want to have anymore children?
Answer:
it's called "getting your tubes tied" (tubal ligation) and they don't actually tie your fallopian tubes in a bow lol. it is an operation similar to a vasectomy for men. it will prevent you from releasing anymore eggs to get fertilized, which will make it impossible to have children. it is is practically permanent. meaning, you CAN get it reversed in some rare cases, however it is very expensive and difficult to do and there are not guarantees in reversal. if you have any doubts, go with some form of birth control, because once you do it adoption is the only hope of having another child. it is a very simple procedure and is usually on an out-patient basis, so you can go into practically any clinic or hospital and have it done and be out that day. not a difficult procedure at all, again, very similar to the vasectomy for a guy.
Yes. There is. It is not permenant. You can get it fixed again to undo it.
Yes, it can be done, it is surgery though, and it can be reversed too. Just ask your doctor for details, they can answer your questions better than anyone on here.
You're talking about tubal lygation. Meaning that they tie off your fallopian tubes. Usually, it is permanent. But they have techniques now to attempt reversal, and there have been successes. You would need to go to your OB/GYN and make arrangements for this to be done.
Yes in most cases it is permanent, there are some surgeries to untie them but most tubes now are cut and burned which makes reversal almost impossible. It is very, very, rare that a Tubaligation doesn't work and pregnancy occurs. So for the most part this is the most effective form of birth control.
don't trust it
techniques may be different today
but my momma slipped through grandma's tied tubes
and otherwise
i would not be here now
(good news or bad?)
You will have to speak to a gyn about it first and foremost.

Either they will use clamps, or they will burn them. Either way its a day surgery. I'd personally recommend the clamps incase you want to have them undone for whatever reason one day.

Your gyn is the one who will do the surgery.
They don't actual tie your tubes they either use clamps or bands or burn them. And it's called tubal ligation and yes it's permenant. And there done at either hospitals or clinics
you go to a gynocologist and they will set you up for surgery, it doesnt always make it totally permanant but if they burn the ends of the tubes it helps, mine healed and i got pregnant again but the doctor didnt want to do the job for me in the first place. mom swore he tied slip knots.
yes ther is and no it is not permenant
There is such a thing, but you must talk to your doctor. You will have to sign a paper saying that you understand that it is not 100%. My cousin had it done and one of her tubes "came un done". Basically when she went to get a cat scan of her tubes, the dye they injected in her ran through the one tube, which means that an egg would have been able to pass. She couldn't do anything about it because without knowing, she had signed a waiver for that reason. Another girl at my work had her fourth child after having her tubes tied. Just get all the facts, it doens't happen all the time, but it is something to keep in mind
